Pick a date
Pick the day you next see each other and your ticket fills in. Then send it to your partner, so you’re both counting the same days.
How to use it#
Pick the day you next see each other, then search for your city and theirs. Each one shows its flag and its time right now, so you can see at a glance whether your partner is up. Leave the cities blank and the countdown still works. Tap Send to your partner and the link opens as the same ticket on their phone.
As the date gets closer, the plane flies further along the route. If you’re still waiting on a date, the time difference planner finds the hours you are both awake for calls in the meantime, and our guide to long-distance relationship rituals has ideas for the days in between.
Questions#
How do I share a countdown with my long-distance partner?
Pick the day you next see each other, add your two cities if you like, and tap Send to your partner. On a phone it opens your share sheet; on a computer it copies a link you can paste into any chat. When your partner opens it, the countdown runs on their own calendar day. Save image for stories downloads the ticket as a picture with today's count on it.
What does the link show, and is anything saved?
The link holds only the date and the cities you typed, and anyone you send it to can see them. Nothing is saved on our side: there is no account, and the countdown is worked out in the browser of whoever opens the link.
Why does the countdown say a different number for my partner?
Each of you counts from your own today. If one of you is already on tomorrow's date because of the time difference, that person sees one day fewer. Both of you land on zero on the visit day, in your own time zone.
What should we do while we count down?
Give the wait a shape: plan one thing for the first day together, keep a standing call, and save up small stories to tell in person. Our guide to long-distance relationship rituals has more ideas that work across time zones.
